Dateline: Capital Of Culture Year 2008
| Well
hello, I don't have much time to do this here website so this is
really no more than an online ad - Right, if you're visiting our
fair city, or if you live here and have never heard of us, our address
is: Probe Records, 9 Slater Street, Liverpool L1 4BW - and here's
a map to help you find us:

|
We are open 10am till 6pm Monday to Saturday and we stock a wide
range of music both ancient and modern on lovely big vinyl and
shiny silver polycarbonate Compact Disc... some genres of which
include: Real Indie (as in "independent") sounds,
classic 6Ts & 7Ts Psych, Garage, Prog & Krautrock (and
all their 21st century variants), Soul, Funk, Reggae, Dubstep,
Electronica, Punk, Post Punk, Post Rock (plus some stuff that's
post everything) and a whole lot more besides... Although the
shop does not resemble the usual clinical sterile shopping environment
we assure you we are not a second-hand shop. The reason
for all those records? That's coz we specialize in reissue
vinyl.
Oh
yeah, MySpace site here: http://www.myspace.com/proberecords
Don't
talk to me about FaceBook, I ain't going there...
If you're lost in Liverpool and still can't find
the shop call us on: 0151 708 8815
Here's
a picture of the shop interior:

Mark
McNulty took that and there's currently a citywide
exhibition of his pics - Go to http://www.mcnulty.co.uk
for more information.
On our back wall we have some portraits he took of Liverpool legends
The Stairs taken way back in 1992 when Edgar Jones was just plain
old Edgar Summertyme...
